St. Francis Society Animal Rescue

On May 08, 2008, a dog named Georgia was added.

St. Francis Society Animal Rescue is an all volunteer, non-profit 501-c-3 animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of sick, injured, and stray domestic animals as well as spaying/neutering and medical services for those animals.

Why we are unique

We have extensive training in animal rescue that we received from Emergency Animal Rescue Service (E.A.R.S.), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and The Red Cross. We have the ability to rescue domestic animals of all kinds and we will see to it that the animal receives the appropriate medical attention it deserves. We seek to place the animal in a loving foster or permanent home after recovery. We DO NOT euthanize unless terminal illness necessitates such a decision. All of our animals are spay/neutered before they are adopted.

The Truth about Bullies

We Need Your Help

St. Francis starts where others stop. We don't kill animals. We find loving homes for the unwanted, abused, abandoned and sick/injured animals in our community. We can't continue our mission without your help! We desperately need foster homes for cats and dogs and donations to help with vet bills for these animals. Learn the different ways you can help TODAY!

In Memory of Hans
  • Hans was a true St. Francis success story. Hans came into Susans life in 2002 while she was doing some volunteer work for St. Francis. She took one look at his cute little face and knew she had to bring him home. Hans was given 5 wonderful years with Susan. Before Susan adopted him Hans had had a rough life. With a timid and fearful temperament and only 3 legs he had little chance of being adopted. But Susan saw the happy, loving dog he was inside and in her care his true personality emerged. On September 10, Hans succumbed to congestive heart failure. He was 12 years old... read more

Please consider making a donation to St. Francis in the hope that other dogs can find homes such as the one Hans found with Susan.

Kerri

  • "A visit to Florida shelter brought this cutey to my house. She was running out of time and no one wanted her. Maybe it was because she appeared too old, or her teeth stuck out too far, or she acted too scared because she missed her former owner so much and did not understand how or why she ended up in such a scary place. She barked and barked but I entered her pen and she jumped up on me for kisses. This was not a dog with a bad attitude but one who needed a second chance. I took her home where she became instantly more relaxed and within 2 daysa completely different dog with tricks and dances she performed when excited..."
